Supporting Recovery with Compassionate Fishing Adventures
Cast Out Cancer is dedicated to bringing comfort, connection, and hope to individuals and families facing cancer through meaningful, guided fishing experiences. As a cancer survivor myself, I searched for programs specifically designed to support men during and after treatment — and found very few that offered the type of healing, community, and encouragement I needed. That gap inspired the creation of Cast Out Cancer.
While other organizations focus on funding research — an incredibly important mission — our program is different. All donations to Cast Out Cancer directly fund fishing trips and retreats for our participants. Every dollar goes toward getting people out on the water, promoting better mental health, and giving them something positive to look forward to during the most difficult chapters of their lives.
Our mission is rooted in empathy, community, and resilience. We believe deeply in the power of nature to inspire renewal and strengthen bonds among those touched by cancer. With a commitment to expanding our reach across the country, we currently serve participants through guided trips and retreats in Pennsylvania, New York, and West Virginia, with plans to grow nationwide in the near future.
